In Kokshetau Higher Medical College, training of specialists in the specialty “General Medicine” is carried out.

Graduates of this educational program are given the qualification of “Feldsher”, which allows future specialists to:

  • to participate in the medical-diagnostic, primary medical and sanitary care for patients of different age groups in the conditions of a hospital, clinic, medical ambulance stations (MAS), first-aid stations, primary care centers (PCC);
  • to assess the patient condition and the provision of emergency first-aid medical care for acute illnesses and accidents;
  • to render medical assistance to the population in extreme conditions of epidemics, in the centers of mass destruction;
  • to participate in the rehabilitation of the patient, and together with the social protection authorities and the services of mercy to participate in the organization of care and placement in boarding schools, hospices of the lonely, the elderly, the disabled, and chronic patients;
  • cooperation with patients and their families, respect for the rights of the patient and taking measures to strengthen and maintain the health of the population of different age groups;
  • to advise the population on the risk factors for the patient health (physical, mental, social, environmental, etc.) and on the reduction of their impact on health;
  • the training of the patient and his family issues of maintaining health in different age periods, care;
  • to carry out diagnostics and differential diagnostics using modern research methods, as well as the treatment and prevention of common diseases;

 

Graduates of this educational program are given the qualification “Midwife”, which allows future specialists to:

  •  to consult on the issues of feeding young children (breastfeeding, complementary foods), psychosocial development, hardening, preparing children for preschool institutions, schools, vocational guidance;
  • to carry out activities aimed at the formation of a healthy lifestyle among individuals, families and groups of the population;
  • to consult the patient and his family on issues of maintaining and promoting health;
  • to apply innovative technologies to improve the level of security and improve the quality of services provided;
  • to carry out the diagnosis, treatment and care of the patient, using a student-centered approach with the participation of his family and environment;
  • to determine the principles of treatment and emergency care for various categories of patients;
  • to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic measures.
  • to practice modern methods of intensive care and resuscitation in case of diseases and critical situations;
  • to use the practice of evidence-based medicine in professional activities;
  • to carry out procedures in accordance with the standards to ensure the safety and quality of medical services;
  • to conduct consultations on family planning and methods of contraception.
